3-Day Netravati Trek Itinerary from Bangalore
Day 1 – Bangalore to Base Camp (Overnight Journey)
Depart from Bangalore at 8:00 PM from designated pickup points (Indiranagar, Yeshwantpur, or Silk Board). The team lead will brief you on trek details during the journey. You will travel overnight via the Sakleshpur route, arriving at the base camp by early morning. Get settled in, have a light snack, and rest for a few hours before the trek begins. The base camp provides basic but comfortable accommodation for the night after the trek.
Day 2 – The Netravati Peak Trek
Wake up at 5:30 AM. After a hot breakfast, the trek begins by 6:30 AM sharp. Starting from the trailhead near Kukke Subramanya, the path takes you through:
- 0–3 km: Flat forest walk through bamboo groves and mixed shola forest. Good for warming up.
- 3–6 km: Gradual ascent through dense canopy. The forest gets thicker and quieter here.
- 6–8 km: Open grassland sections with the first panoramic views of the surrounding valleys.
- 8–9 km: Steep rocky climb to the summit. This is the most challenging section — take it slow.
- Summit: 360-degree views of the Western Ghats. On clear days, you can see the sea of clouds below.
Trek back on the same route. Reach the base camp by 2:00–3:00 PM. Lunch is served at the camp. Rest, freshen up, and enjoy a campfire in the evening with hot tea and snacks. Dinner is served by 8:00 PM. Overnight stay at the homestay or camp.
Day 3 – Return to Bangalore via Sightseeing
Check out from the camp after breakfast. On the return journey to Bangalore, the group stops at two memorable spots: Beluru Chennakeshava Temple — a 12th century Hoysala masterpiece with intricate stone carvings — and the Samse Tea Estate, where you can walk through tea gardens and learn how tea is processed. A self-sponsored lunch on the way. You will reach Bangalore drop points by 7:00–9:00 PM depending on traffic.
